These Site Terms and Conditions, which are https://www.bibliothequefesch.ajaccio.fr/
and hereafter referred to as "the Site", define the terms and conditions under which users may use the Site.
By browsing the Site, the website user (hereinafter referred to as “the user”) acknowledges having read the legal notices of the Site and accepts these general conditions of use (hereinafter referred to as “the GTC”). The applicable GTCs are those which are accessible online on the Site on the day of the Internet users' connection to the Site.
The City of Ajaccio reserves the right to modify the Terms and Conditions at any time to adapt them to legislative and regulatory changes or to new functionalities of the Site that may be offered to Internet users, by publishing a new version on the Site. The date of the last update of the Terms and Conditions is indicated in the first line of these Terms and Conditions.
1. PURPOSE
The purpose of these Terms of Use is to determine and regulate the terms of use of the Site by Internet users.
2. SITE DESCRIPTION
The Site allows Internet users to consult online a set of information about the Fesch Heritage Library, its collections and the events it organizes. In addition, the Internet user has the possibility to:
Access the various online Heritage catalogs;
Contact selected Heritage Library departments by e-mail.
reserve places and documents in the reading room;
view selected document or conference excerpts;
contact site administrators.
3. SITE ACCESS REQUIREMENTS
Use of the Site requires an Internet connection, preferably broadband. It is specified that this connection is not supported by the city of Ajaccio. The user will be able to browse the Site on a personal computer or any other mobile device (such as tablet, telephone...) allowing access to the Internet.
4. INTERNET USERS' COMMITMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Internet user undertakes, when using the Site, not to contravene the laws and regulations in force and these GTU. The Internet user is informed that any violation of these provisions is likely to lead to legal proceedings and sanctions against him. The Internet user notes that the city of Ajaccio reserves the right to proceed immediately and without notice to block its access to the Site in the event that its use of the Site would be contrary to these Terms and Conditions and more generally to the laws and regulations in force. In general, the City of ajaccio cannot be held liable in the event of use of the Site by a user who does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
5. PERSONAL DATA AND COOKIES
5.1 Personal data collected on the Site directly from users. The use of certain functionalities of the Site, and in particular the possibility to write to the city of Ajaccio or to demonstrate online by subscribing to newsletters, presupposes the collection of personal data of the Internet users. These data collected on the Site are processed for administrative management, statistics and studies of use, the controller of which is the city of Ajaccio. In accordance with the European Regulation of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, each user has a right of access to and rectification of information concerning him. He also has the right to object, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of data concerning him. This right may be exercised without legitimate reason in the case of commercial prospecting. The user can therefore demand that the data concerning him held by the City of Ajaccio be communicated to him and be corrected, completed, clarified, updated or erased.
These rights can be exercised by contacting the Data Protection Officer of the City of Ajaccio at bibliotheque@ville-ajaccio.fr. The City of Ajaccio undertakes to implement and enforce the security measures it deems necessary in order to ensure the confidentiality of the data collected on the Site for the period necessary for their processing, in accordance with the aforementioned European regulation.
